Light Mode and More

January 28th, 2025

This update covers more of the feedback we got and tries to fix the main user experience issue reported.

Light Mode

Dark mode or light mode is often a personal preference, so we added both so you can choose your liking. You can also choose auto/device if you want to flip light and dark mode depending on the time of day.

Toggle the light and dark mode in the bottom of the main menu.

Improved Calendar

A lot of people liked how the calendar worked on the V1 of releases. We have updated V2 to have a classic calendar and a hot calendar. The classic calendar now groups releases by days and tentative dates like Quarters and Years.

Improved Discoverability

We did the following to make it easier to find features.

- New section first navigation on the front page under the search bar

- Separated Calendar & Hot section in the header

- Show all view modes available in the header instead of a dropdown

Keep Improving

We want to continue trying to build Releases into a great experience, so we appreciate all the feedback we are getting. Don’t hesitate to give us feedback on wishes, bugs, improvements or anything else.

Thanks!

NEW Updates!

July 3rd, 2024

Hi,

Thank you for all the feedback. We've received a lot of positive and constructive suggestions on how to improve the site. Based on your feedback, we've implemented the following updates:

View Modes

We've introduced different view modes that change the rendering of items in the calendar. You can now choose between 'Cards', 'Items', and 'Rows'.

Set Defaults

You can now set your default calendar settings. This allows you to choose the classic calendar 'All by time' as your default instead of 'Hot/Popular',

Calendar Pages

For each group in the calendar feed, you can click the expand/maximize button to view a full-screen mode of the current date interval.

Tracking List

The tracking list now has the same functionality as the main calendar. You can choose a view mode, untrack items directly in the list, and filter items.

Scroll Back to Today

We've added a new button (an arrow with a dot) that points to today. Clicking it will scroll you to the closest point to today.

More to Come

We have more requests that we haven't been able to implement yet:

Light Mode

Many users have requested a light mode for the site. We've started developing this feature, and we hope to have it available later this year.

Use the feedback form if you have more suggestions or feedback.

Thanks!
