ABC Banks On Marvel Again, Renews Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. And Agent Carter
It seems the complete and total domination of Marvel is set to continue. Avengers: Age of Ultron is ruling the box office, Ant-Man is set to rake in a veritable fortune, and just to show the TV isn't being left out, ABC have announced some renewals.
Netflix's Daredevil is enjoying an immensely popular first season and a second has already been confirmed for next year. Now, ABC have come out and stated that they're sticking to their Marvel guns and ordering Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3 and Agent Carter season 2.
This probably won't be much of a surprise for agents of S.H.I.E.L.D of course. The show has maintained good numbers and also serves nicely to connect the threads between the blockbusters. Agent Carter, however, appeared to be dangling by a thread. The show suffered from declining numbers throughout its 8 episode series, despite growing critical support.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3 will begin airing on ABC sometime in September, while Agent Carter season 2 will once again fill the show's mid-season hiatus, beginning in January 2016.
