Some of these racists even join the Ku Klux Klan. And for one young man growing up as the Civil Rights movement threatens to upset the status quo in Montgomery, it becomes obvious that joining the movement for equality is the only way to move forward. But, as his own grandfather is a member of the KKK, this may be easier said than done.
