In the flourishing heart of ancient Kyoto, Minamoto Hiromasa, the gifted grandson of Emperor Daigo and a court musician, seeks answers to the unsettling mysteries of demons plaguing the city. He finds himself at the abode of the official onmyoji - the master of yin and yang. Here, he encounters the enigmatic onmyoji Abe Seimei, a man radiating an ethereal charm. Although Hiromasa is irked by Seimei's detachment from the world and his initial hesitation to assist, together they confront the malevolent forces behind the disturbances. Their investigation leads them to the shadowy onmyoji, Ashiya Doman. Joining their quest are Hiromasa's flute mentor, Imperial Prince Atsumi, the emperor's onmyoji Kamo Yasunori, and the graceful Lady Tsuyuko, who becomes part of their team due to a peculiar circumstance. With their fates intricately woven together, can Seimei and Hiromasa restore tranquility to the capital?
