MORRIS IsisClassic Car
Much like the Six it replaced, the Isis is based closely on the Oxford, but this time the front end is stretched by eight inches to make room for a single-carb version of the six-cylinder C-series engine. On later cars mesh rather than painted slats in the grille sets it apart from the lesser car, though occupants will notice the right-hand floor-change for the gearbox, to allow three-abreast seating. Updates for rarer Series II in 1956 include fluted bonnet, rear fins, and an extra 4bhp. Highly prized and hard-to-find estates worth about a third more than saloons.
