An cottage industry of specialists had emerged making the humble BMC Mini do things that its creator, Alec Issignonis, had never imagined for it. The Mini-Marcos was one such car, combining a lightweight low-drag fibreglass monocoque with the front-wheel-drive car’s drivetrain and suspension.
