Based on the Urraco P300, the Silhouette was an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to take on the Ferrari 308 GTS. An appealing looking car with tele-dial alloys and ultra-low profile tyres – just like a Countach – it wasn’t strong enough to make the grade. It fell by the wayside when Lamborghini went through horrendous financial problems during the late 1970s, a time when Sant Agata’s model range...

With 54 built, the Silhouette is rare and rapidly gaining desirability – but not as nice to drive as a 308.
