An intelligent, lovable robot known as ”FREDI” is stolen from a secret research facility by the projects lead scientist, Dr. Josephine Palmer. During an intense chase Dr. Palmer is forced to hide FREDI in an abandoned forest shelter. FREDI is found by 15-year-old James, and the pair quickly bond as they skatex through teenage troubles whilst keeping it a secret from James’ recently divorced father, Randy. James’ best friend, science-whiz kid Danny, and the subject of James’ affections, the unattainable Natalie, team up to escape the maniac corporate villain Grant hot on FREDI’s tracks.
