Dear Edmund is an atmospheric Victorian-era game set in a somber and oppressive world. The nation is under the unyielding rule of the D.A.C (The Dominion of Absolute Control), a cold and authoritarian party, and you find yourself tasked with the responsibility of making pivotal decisions concerning a desolate street and its inhabitants. In this immersive experience, you assume the role of Edmund, a working-class man, residing in a dilapidated home, struggling to make ends meet. Financial constraints have left you with meager resources to lead a better life. To make matters worse, your wife, Elsie, has sought refuge with her mother, fleeing the perils of the disease-ridden city. As you navigate this gloomy world, you'll be required to attend work and grapple with the weighty choices presented by both the beleaguered residents and the watchful eyes of DAC party officials.
