Despite it being detuned to 34bhp the Bond was still disconcertingly fast and also rather precarious on corners. A MkII version in 1967 saw the front end remodelled with rectangular headlamps. Like the Minicar, the 875 would probably have enjoyed a long life had not Reliant taken over Bond in 1969 and brought production of this Regal rival to an end.
