Park Ward constructed a significant proportion of the 431 cars and most were two-door, although HJ Mulliner and James Young weighed in with four-door versions. Special permission needed to be obtained from Rolls-Royce for these four-door Continentals to be built. The most innovative S1s were made by Hooper. A small number of dropheads accompanied the coupés.
