Bentley Mulsanne TurboClassic Car
Sales of Bentleys had fallen so low during the T-series era that Rolls-Royce considered axing the marque. Fortunately, the decision was taken to make the Winged B cars stand out instead. The renaissance started with the Mulsanne Turbo of 1982. While the looks didn’t differ much from the equivalent Rolls, attached to the 6750cc V8 engine was a Garrett AirResearch turbocharger which increased power by 50%. Being Rolls-Royce of course, what this figure was wasn’t actually announced officially.
