Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi Release Date Change, Day Earlier In UK
The Force is strong in the UK as a slightly earlier cinema debut for Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi has been secured for Thursday, December 14th.
That means British fans and and the internationally overeager can see what all the fuss is about a day earlier than the US showing on Friday, December 15th. UK moviegoers can be first in the race to learn some of the more pressing questions the new films have brought up.
The Last Jedi follows on immediately after Episode VII - The Force Awakens where Rey (Daisy Ridley) was left standing on a rocky island holding out a lightsaber to the rather mute Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamil). Finn (John Boyega) meanwhile was left in a coma, presumably, after he had a less than successful brawl with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Episode VIII also includes scenes with Princess/General Leia as they were recorded before Carrie Fisher's tragic passing.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi releases in cinema December 14th, 2017 in the UK, December 15th in the US.
