Rory MacNeil, a Scotsman through and through, is forced to leave his beloved homeland to seek medical treatment in California. Rory's new life in San Fransisco promises uncertainty and awkwardness. This is primarily due to him moving in with his estranged son. Though the two have a problematic past, things take an unexpected turn when Rory begins bonding with his baby grandson. As their relationship blossoms, Rory gains a new lease on life.
