An adaptation of Deborah E. Lipstadt's book History on Trial: My Day in Court with a Holocaust Denier. It centers on Lipstadt's legal battle for historical truth against David Irving, who accused her of libel when she declared him a Holocaust Denier. Because the English legal system puts the burden of proof is on the accused, Lipstadt and her legal team have to prove the essential truth that the Holocaust actually happened, and he had manipulated data to make history vanish.

Sadly, it’s hamstrung by a patchy script (by David Hare) and an oddly flat-footed performance by Rachel Weisz as Lipstadt.
