Perhaps it was priced a little too high for gamers to take a chance on it, or maybe there wasn't enough marketing leading up to the game's release, but either way, Klaus is a game that is receiving high praise from the gamers that put up the cash to play this puzzle platformer.

Klaus, a game named after its slick hairdo wielding protagonist, is a bit of a mix between Super Meat Boy & Megaman. When Klaus awakens in a basement, lost and alone, with no knowledge of how he ended up where he did, he's forced to escape the mechanical world he's been put in, all in the name of freedom. The game features two playable characters, 6 worlds, 34 levels, & over 100 challenging rooms for players to tackle.

So far, on the game's Metacritic page, the game has only garnered two critical reviews since its release on January 19th.

Game Rant, which scored the game a 90 out of 100, calls Klaus, "an impressive puzzle platformer that constantly defies the player's expectations. Building up mechanics only to break them, La Cosa Entertainment (the game's developer) has crafted one of the most interesting platformers in quite some time."

PlayStation LifeStyle, which scored the game an 85 out of 100, says Klaus, "is a subversive, ingenious little puzzle platformer that shouldn’t be missed by anyone who claims to be a fan of video games.

One fan of the game, by the name of GreenMachineG, took the time to write a user review on the game's Metacritic page, scoring the game an 8 out of 10, with this to say about the title: "This game has such a cool story, filled with twists around every corner. You get a pretty in depth look at the psyche and life of the main character, and the game just makes you want to keep going. The dialogue isn't actually spoken, but plastered onto the environment as you traverse the course. Very cool and unique!"

On the PlayStation Store, where you can currently get the PlayStation 4 version for $19.99, the game has received an overall 5-star score average based on 14 ratings.
