Technōs Japan Corporation was a Japanese video game developer famous for creating the Double Dragon series amongst other games such as River City Ransom, Super Dodgeball, and Karate Champ. Now, Arc System Works have acquired the rights to all of the company's titles!
Technōs Japan went bankrupt in 1996 but Arc System Works looks as though they're planning on bringing back the core series according to a new teaser website launched earlier today. The website says "please look forward to the future of the Technōs Japan title."
If you're unfamiliar with the history of Arc System Works, the company is best known for the creation of the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series but has also worked previously on the SEGA Master System port of Double Dragon and the Game Gear/SEG A Mega Drive (SEGA Genesis for those of you across the pond) port of BattleToads.
We look forward to seeing what Arc System Works does with the franchises.
