Kate Winslet and Justin Timberlake star in Woody Allen’s latest offering from Amazon Studios Wonder Wheel – a 1950s-set story that takes place around Colney Island, home to the titular attraction - and the first trailer has just dropped.

The film sees Winslet play Ginny, an emotionally volatile former actress now working as a waitress in a clam house; Humpty, played by Jim Belushi, is her rough-hewn carousel operator husband.

Thrown into this volatile mix is Mickey, played by Justin Timberlake, a handsome young lifeguard who yearns to be a playwright and Carolina, played by Juno Temple, Humpty’s long-estranged daughter, who storms into their lives seeking sanctuary from the gangster family she’s married into.

Promising a tale of heated passion, tragedy, and old-fashioned pier attractions, Wonder Wheel will be out in US cinemas on 1 December.
