Forget Bay-hem, It's Time For Carn-age! Joe Carnahan in Talks to Helm Bad Boys 3

Immerging from a fireball with duel pistols blazing while the camera spins endless 360 loops around him, director Joe Carnahan is ready to kick ass and possibly director Bad Boys 3 and he’s all out of ass to kick...

The Grey director is in early talks to replace Michael Bay and helm the next instalment in the Bad Boys franchise – with Sony hopeful that, with everything in place, and a script from Safe House writer David Guggenheim, they can make Will Smith happy enough to sign on quickly, so that he can consider working on it after Suicide Squad.

Whether that happens remains to be seen, and the third outing has certainly waited long enough already, so it can stand a bit more of a delay.

Carnahan is a canny choice – he’s already proved himself adept at handling OTT action in the likes of Smokin’ Aces and The A Team – plus, he could perhaps bring some of that cop against cop tension that made Narc such an searing gem.

Here’s hoping this pleases Will Smith.
