Today marks the 21st anniversary of Looking Glass Studios' System Shock, published by Origin Systems. What better way to celebrate this iconic series than to re-release with an Enhanced Edition that's DRM-free?
It's now available from GOG.com with all the support necessary to support the super-future systems of Windows 7, 8 and 10. The original was launched on DOS on September 22nd, 1994 and today it's an all-digital affair. It's currently enjoying a 20% discount at £5.29.
The Enhanced Edition includes:
- Higher resolution support: up to 1024x768, and 854x480 widescreen mode.
- Mouselook support added.
- Remappable keys with three profiles to choose from: original controls, custom controls, and lefthanded controls.
- Some original game bugs fixed
- Enjoy the vastly improved controls and graphics of the Enhanced Edition - or keep your experience as close to the original as possible with the Classic version.
