Nsync And Backstreet Boys Are Back...For Zombie Western

Famous boy bands of the past often spring back into public interest briefly by announcing reunion tours. That's too mainstream though, for several members of Backstreet Boys and NSync, who've decided to join together in a nostalgia voltron and star in a movie.

To double down on the crazy of this story, the movie is being produced by The Asylum, a name you may remember for cinematic disasterpiece Sharknado. The film, currently going by Dead 7 follows a "ragtag band of gunslingers operating during a post-apocalyptic zombie plague".

So far, Backstreet Boys Howie Dorough and A. J. McClean are confirmed to star with NSync's Joey Fatone. If my math skills are holding up, that leaves another four former boyband members that The Asylum need to kidnap and force into starring in the film for the title to work. Apparently, one of them may be Jordan Knight, formerly of New Kids on the Block.

Dead 7, if The Asylum's track record is anything to go on, will be heading straight to DVD, though these are still early days and maybe all that star power will lead them to pushing a theatrical release. We can dream, right?
