Jekyll and Hyde Cancelled by ITV after One Series
Despite receiving no confirmation from ITV Broadcast are reporting that Jekyll and Hyde has been cancelled after one season.
The fantasy adventure series created and written by Charlie Higson and staring Tom Bateman, has reportedly been curtailed by ITV. Broadcast reports that: “the production team on the 10-part ITV Studios show have been told that there will be no second series, despite some pre-production work being done in preparation for a recommission."
The article goes on to state that declining viewing figures were also a deciding factor with the show averaging 2.6 million viewers by the end of the first series which concluded on 27th December.
It can’t have helped that episodes were bumped around the schedule with the last three episodes being aired within the same week.
