James McAvoy Gets all Nefarious in Split Trailer

Looking like a menacing Professor X, James McAvoy stretches his acting muscles to play the troubled Kevin in M Night Shyamalan's new film horror film Split.

The title refers to the many personalities of Kevin – 23 personalities to be precise - as identified by his therapist Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley). Among them is an unhinged character who kidnaps and imprisons young women, including Casey (The Witch's Anya Taylor-Joy) for a mysterious but almost certainly nefarious purpose.

As Casey and her captives try to escape, they wonder whether other personalities lurking in Kevin's mind can help. And Dr. Fletcher worries that he's becoming something new...

This schlocky funny finds Shyamalan back working with the Blumhouse team after the success of The Visit.

Co-starring Haley Lu Richardson, Kim Director, Brad William Henke and Jessica Sula in the cast, Split will menace cinemas from January, 20th.
