The Invisible Hours UK/EU Release Date Delayed

The virtual reality 'whodunnit' murder mystery The Invisible Hours has been pushed back a week in Europe, with it releasing today in North America.

Developer Tequila Works revealed the date slip was 'outside their control' with the PC and PlayStation 4 game now arriving mid-October. In the game we get treated to an 'immersive theatre' experience where we're free to explore the large mansion at our leisure and follow the characters.

The player is a ghost or 'fly on the wall' where a single playthrough won't reveal all the secrets and motivations of the NPCs called together by inventor Nikola Tesla, who has been murdered in his lab at a remote home. Events unfold over an hour and things happen whether we're there to witness them or not.

"All seven suspects in the mansion continue their stories in real time throughout the game, even if the player is not there to see them. This means there are seven very different but intersecting stories all happening at the same time. Players will need to make careful decisions about where to be, and when, in order to unravel the mystery."

The Invisible Hours releases on PC and PlayStation 4 today in the US, and on October 17th, 2017 in Europe supporting PlayStation VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.
