Wyatt Russell and Jovan Adepo Cast in J.J Abrams Produced Overlord
Wyatt Russell and Jovan Adepo are going behind enemy lines in the J.J Abrams produced WWII movie, Overlord, from director Julius Avery.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pair will star as American paratroopers dropped into enemy territory. As they approach their target — a Nazi-occupied village with a German radio tower — they realise that they are a part of something bigger than a simple military operation.
Avery (Son of a Gun) will direct from a script by Billy Ray and Mark L. Smith, who are responsible for the Captain Phillips and The Revenant screenplays, respectively.
Russell recently appeared in Richard Linklater's '80s baseball romp Everybody Wants Some!! while Adepo featured in the Denzel Washington directed movie, the Oscar winning, Fences.
Production is looking at a May start in the U.K.
