South Park: The Fractured But Whole 'Not Releasing On Switch'
It turns out the recent tweet from South Park's official Twitter account referencing an iconic Cartman-heavy episode around the Nintendo Wii, isn't a nod to Switch.
It was thought this was a tease for the upcoming South Park: The Fractured But Whole coming to Nintendo's latest console, but as it turns out they were just linking to a past episode that featured Cartman freezing himself so he wouldn't have to wait for the Wii.
Why the reference? The heavy snow blizzard hitting the East Coast of the US recently. South Park Digital Studios confirmed it "won’t be coming to Switch," speaking with IGN.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole was originally scheduled for release in December 2016 but it has been moved to later in 2017. Even Matt Stone and Trey Parker mocked the idea of a late 2016 launch at the Ubisoft E3 2016 presentation. The South Park creators notoriously leave everything last minute, which they credit helps keep South Park adaptable to recent events.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2017.
