Character Details and 50 New Screenshots Released for Dissidia Arcade

A substantial slew of screenshots have been released for the upcoming Japan-and-arcade-only fighter 'Dissidia Final Fantasy' which you can see in our expansive gallery below. There are more than fifty new images of the game which show off the battles, in-game menus and more.

As for character details, we now know that characters will fall into one of three categories; Onion Knight and Lightning fall into the SPEED category, Cloud Strife and Warrior of Light are HEAVY and Tina Branford and Yu Shutora will SHOOT. The images in the gallery below show off these aspects of the characters, as well as the use of Cloud Strife's classic limit breaks 'Finishing Touch' and 'Braver'.

Currently, this Square-Enix/Team Ninja collaboration is confirmed only for an arcade release in Japan but we know the game was built on custom hardware, built from the remnants of a gutted Playstation 4 system which, we believe, doesn't ask 'if' the title will come to home consoles, but 'when'?
