Comedy Horror "The Final Girls" Receives Trailer, In Cinemas This October
The 'meta' comedy horror film The Final Girls has just received the trailer treatment. It stars Taissa Farmiga, Nina Dobrev and Malin Akerman in a cliche-rich spoofing of the serial killing genre.
A young woman having lost her mother, who was a famous 'scream queen of the '80s, finds herself pulled into the world of her most famous slasher movie. Together they must fend off the killer and all the absurdities of the horror genre. The focus is on poking fun at the tropes we've come to expect and can see unfolding a mile away.
The Final Girls releases in cinemas October 9th in the US, and on DVD in the UK October 12th.
