It’s time to don your spandex and hit the scene as Netflix original 1980’s female wrestling series Glow gets its first trailer

The series, based on the syndicated professional women’s wrestling circuit that bore the full title Glorious Ladies of Wrestling, is co-created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch and stars Alison Brie as an aspiring, out-of-work actor eking out a meagre living in the 1980s before she stumbles into the world of wrestling.

She’ll be joined by comedian and podcaster Marc Maron, as the opportunistic former director whose own string of personal and professional setbacks lead him to the charge of the newly established circuit of women wrestlers.

Combining character driven storytelling, humour and drama (not to mention spandex and hairspray), Glow debuts on Netflix on June 23.
