Warhammer Fantasy Battles Game Announced
The first hack 'n' slash in the Warhammer warchest is arriving for PC and console, announces Games Workshop and Bigben. It's set in the Old World against Chaos.
This adaptation of the Warhammer IP will wage bloody war across a dark and devastated continent as heroes battle to survive the desolation. French developer Eko Software, who created the How to Survive series, has been entrusted with the tools of war for the Warhammer Fantasy Battles IP.
"We are very pleased to work with Games Workshop developing a game which draws from the incredible potential of the Warhammer world. The Eko Software and Bigben teams have long been fans of this franchise from day one, including myself. Warhammer Fantasy Battles is well suited to offer players something quite innovative in the timeless hack & slash genre," said Benoit Clerc of Bigben.
More details, including the exact geography of the game world and playable factions, will be released in the future.
