We all love a bit of magic, especially when it comes to English magic, don't we? Historic buildings, the grandeur of British nature and the British accents just tick all the boxes of great fantasy stories about magic. I know these surely remind you of Harry Potter, but if you can't wait for the newly announced Harry Porter spin-off, then just get yourself ready to watch the new BBC America drama Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell on 13 June at 10pm. It's almost the same, almost, at least they are all very British, all about magic and fantasy, and both adapted from best-selling books.

Based on the New York Times bestselling novel by Susanna Clarke, the series is adapted by Peter Harness (Wallander, Is Anybody There?) and directed by Toby Haynes (The Musketeers, Doctor Who), starring Bertie Carvel as Jonathan Strange and Eddie Marsan as Mr.Norrell. The first season contains 7 episodes and it was just aired in the UK in May.
