Greedfall Announced
A new fantasy IP from developer Spiders has been revealed. It's called Greedfall and takes place on an 'island paradise' now facing colonisation.
The player is a neutral force as they arrive on the island we'll have to judge what factions best appeal to us with "combat, diplomacy, deception or stealth" available to complete quests and tasks. It's not just major colonial nations competing for the island's resources and native people, but a tug-of-war between magic and science.
"The island of GreedFall is a living, ever-evolving world. Your actions, from seemingly trivial choices to the most important political decisions, will influence and affect its course as well as the relationship between the different factions established on the island."
Spiders created Mars: War Logs, Bound by Flame and more recently The Technomancer. As such there'll be companions to pick up along the way, get to know, and maybe even knock-boots with, but also the offer of multiple endings depending on our decisions. There's plenty more to learn about Greedfall but Spiders isn't revealing too much yet.
Greedfall is currently in development for PC and consoles.
