We knew that Legion was due to air in February but now we know the exact date plus a new trailer for the Marvel series from Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley.

Legion will premiere on Wednesday, February 8 at 10pm ET/PT.

The show focuses on the X-Men character David Haller/Legion, played by Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens, who has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years but an encounter with a fellow patient reveals that a series of diagnosis might have come up a bit short. For his schizophrenia might actually be manifestations of a far greater power.

The show will also relate to future X-Men movies.

Produced by FX Productions and Marvel TV, Legion also stars Rachel Keller, Aubrey Plaza, Fargo alum Jean Smart, Katie Aselton, Jeremie Harris, Bill Irwin and Amber Midthunder.

The executive producers are Lauren Shuler Donner, X-Men director Bryan Singer, Simon Kinberg, Marvel TV boss Jeph Loeb, Jim Chory and John Cameron.
