Right now you can download and play inbetweengames' 2D The Mammoth: A Cave Painting, which is all about a family of mammoths going about their daily lives and trying to protect their young from vicious cavemen hunters.
It's as bleak a subjective matter as it sounds but the 2D artwork makes it difficult to turn away. It helps that it's also completely free to download and play having been created over a four day period during the Ludum Dare 33 Jam. The small independent team are busy with a 'super-secret' 2D project. They're former Yager developers who left after Dead Island 2 cancelled.
