The LEGO Batman Movie Director to Helm Nightwing Movie
The LEGO Batman Movie director Chris McKay is in talks to make his live action debut with another DC property, Nightwing.
Bat-fans will be familiar with Nightwing, aka the original Robin Dick Grayson, who left his mentor Bruce Wayne behind to take on the mantle of Nightwing to fight crime in Gotham’s neighbour Blüdhaven – he also a founding member of the Teen Titans.
Robin has yet to appear in the DCEU, he was mentioned by name in The Dark Knight Rises and one Robin – not necessarily Dick Grayson – was apparently murdered by The Joker according to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, so it’s interesting to see what McKay will do with a live action movie but if it’s anything like The LEGO Batman Movie, it might just be the most entertaining DCEU movie so far.
The Nightwing movie will be written by The Accountant's Bill Dubuque.
