Margot Robbie Attached to Star in Robin Hood Action Film Marion
Hollywood can’t seem to get enough of Robin Hood lately. First there’s several new ‘spins’ on the character, most prominently the gritty, origin movie Robin Hood starring Taron Egerton, and now there’s Marion, a new take on the Robin Hood legend focusing on his beau Maid Marion with Margot Robbie in talks to star.
Pete Barry wrote the script in which Marion is being described as a cross between Game Of Thrones and Braveheart, where, avenging the death of Robin Hood (yeah, he’s dead by the way) Marion vows to take on his cause. Training to become a fighter, she also rises to a position of leadership and eventually legend as she commands the fight against a conspiracy to conquer England.
It’s certainly unique, which it will need to distinguish itself from the 500 other Robin Hood projects currently in the works.
