Happy Badger Studio, the creators of mobile games such as Hero Champ & Turkey Chase, have announced that SmuggleCraft will be making its console debut exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in spring 2016.
SmuggleCraft, which will also come to PC gamers around the same time, is a quest-based hovercraft game that is looking to provide a fresh perspective on the racing genre. The developers are looking to rid the idea of driving in circles and replace it with intense smuggling of questionably-legal contraband. SmuggleCraft will include an immersive story through quests, which drive a branching narrative with alternate endings. What's neat about the game is that no two players will have the same experience. Tracks are procedurally pieced together in each game, providing a unique series of driving conditions for every player.
Happy Badger says that the game started small and simple in concept: It was a hovercraft racing game with randomly generated tracks. However, as development continued, the game has evolved into something much bigger that the studio really loves and believes in. They hope those who play it will feel the same way.
