Endless Space 2 Enters Early Access October 6th, Four Factions Will Be Available
Amplitude Studios begins their 4X conquest for space once more as Endless Space 2 will enter the treacherous Early Access nebula and hope to make it out the other side.
The turn-based 4X empire builder returns with this sequel and its much improved from what little has been shown thus far. One of the biggest overhauls is fleet combat which was already a rather unique approach in the 4X genre.
Amplitude changes up ship combat to make it a pew-pew cinematic clash of empires, and also change how the fleets will engage one another tactically as the battle unfolds. Four out of the total eight factions will be available at the start of the Early Access release.
"Discover each faction’s story, from the AI gone berserk to the origins of the lethal Endless creation known as the Cravers. Feel like an emperor and see your population react to all your decisions, they will be the source but also the key to all your conflicts."
The other big emphasis for Endless Space 2 is creating a better connection between the player and their faction's people. The studio wants to move away from thinking of populations as just mere numbers to increase and to add some internal drama.
Endless Space 2 releases on PC through Early Access October 6th, 2016.
