CHiPs Remake May Have Found Its Villain In Vincent D'Onofrio
It would appear Vincent D'Onofrio enjoyed his recent trip into villainy in Netflix's Daredevil, as he's now sitting down with Warner Bros. about playing the antagonist on the big-screen CHiPs remake.
CHiPs was a a TV show which ran from 1977-1983 and starred Eric Estrada and Larry Wilcox as California Highway Patrol motorcycle cops Frank Ponchorello and Jon Baker. The remake will see Michael Peña (Fury) and Dax Shepard (Parenthood) stepping into the roles and attempting to stop an ex-cop turned criminal, played by D'Onofrio, who is running a car theft ring. Shepard is also serving as writer and director for the long gestating project.
