Bates Motel's Final Season Air Date Brought Forward
Bates Motel is to premiere its final season early as events rush headlong towards one of the most well-known plot twists in movie history.
A&E’s critical and commercial darling, Bates Motel, has forged its own path – taking events from the original novel and movie – and created its own identity from some familiar parts. Starring Freddie Highmore as infamous mother killer Norman Bates and Vera Farmiga as his questionably close mother Norma, the show took four seasons to reach the events preceding the movie; and with pop star and occasional actress Rihanna is set to play Marion Crane, the doomed hotel guest Janet Leigh portrayed in the original Psycho, it won’t take too long before someone starts running that faithful shower.
And, according to TVLine, the fifth and final season of Bates Motel will now air from Monday, February 20 on A&E – all the previous seasons had aired in March.
