Jurassic World 2: First Image Unveiled
Colin Trevorrow has spared no expense to bring us the first image from Jurassic World 2.
Trevorrow, who directed the first Jurassic World movie and co-wrote the sequel with Derek Connolly, shared the image of a young girl stood before the colossal skull of a Triceratops skeleton in what appears to be a lavish museum exhibit. There also appear to be the bones of other predatory dinosaurs with the notable exception of the first movies big bad, the Indominus Rex.
Perhaps the biggest mystery is just who the little girl is amongst the relics? Is she the child of Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s characters? Perhaps she’s a relative of Dr John Hammond – the room looks very similar to his grand mansion, last seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Or perhaps she’s an entirely new character about to enter the world of running, screaming and biting.
Pratt and Dallas Howard are returning to reprise their roles from the 2015 film while J.A. Bayona is taking over directing duties for this outing, which also stars James Cromwell.
Jurassic World 2 opens June 22, 2018.
