Written by Tess Morris (The Love Punch) and directed by Ben Palmer (The Inbetweeners Movie), Man Up sees Bell’s Nancy, fed up of the frustrating dating scene and tired of her friends endless, pointless set ups. But, in an extraordinary set of circumstances, she meets Pegg’s divorcee Jack, who mistakes her for his blind date. Deciding to take a chance, Nancy plays along with it and what follows is a raucous night of drinking, dancing, bowling and a real connection between the two of them.
But then the truth comes out; threatening to ruin his burgeoning romance: Can they overcome that one obstacle to happiness and find true love? Our money is on ‘yes’.
Featuring the likes of Rory Kinnear (Skyfall), Olivia Williams (The Sixth Sense), Sharon Horgan (Run & Jump), Ken Stott (The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies), Ophelia Lovibond (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Stephen Campbell Moore (The Bank Job), Man Up will be out in UK cinemas on May 29 and, yes, you should definitely take a date but preferably your own date...unless, of course, this movie is your way of confessing in which case, how convenient!
