Promising to be like nothing you have seen be-fur the first teaser trailer for Zootopia has landed and it looks promising.

Breaking down the concept that evolution skipped the human race, anthropomorphising the animals to as close to being human without abandoning their natural traits, Jason Bateman’s scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, gives us a crash course in the kind of characters were likely to meet once we walk the streets of Zootopia.

The artwork looks amazing (it’s reminiscent of the fabulous animal-based noir comic Blacksad – which you should check out immediately) and the little details – Nicks untucked shirt and his skewed tie – are excellent character traits.

We’re also introduced to the mismatched pair at the heart of Zootopia’s plot with optimistic rookie cop Judy Hopps, played by Ginnifer Goodwin – the first every bunny on the force. The plot of the film sees Hopps, determined to prove herself in force comprising of big, tough animals that she can crack any case, even if it means partnering with the fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde to solve the mystery.

Zootopia is directed by Byron Howard (Tangled), Rich Moore (Wreck-It Ralph) and is written and co-directed by Jared Bush (Big Hero 6) and is released March 4th 2016.
