The remake of the classic 1960 cowboy movie has added Ethan Hawke (Boyhood) to the cast. He will join Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy) as well as Denzel Washington and Haley Bennett who recently co-starred in The Equalizer .
The plot, which is based on Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, revolves around seven cowboys who defend a town from outlaws.
The film is set to be directed by Antoine Fuqua whose new film Southpaw is due out later this year. Meanwhile the screenplay has been written by Nick Pizzolatto (True Detective) and John Lee Hancock (Snow White and the Huntsman). As of yet there is no release date set for the film.
