Middle-earth: Shadow Of War Gameplay Walkthrough
We get to see a human city in this gameplay walkthrough for Monolith's Middle-earth: Shadow of War, as we fight to hold back an orc offensive against Gondor.
This is a glimpse at some of the sequel's open world exploration too though it's very limited. We actually get urban city environments to fight through and traverse. As the studio has already shown, we don't fight alone anymore or with just a few dominated orcs but potentially with whole armies.
Monolith's Michael de Plater narrates the gameplay walkthrough where we meet and fight beside some humans desperately trying to rally a defence. Anyone who enjoyed the first game will recognise a familiar path to gaining intel on important orcs to cripple the enemy.
A much lengthier gameplay tease was shown by Monolith as Talion laid siege to an enemy fortress, which are tailored to whoever is placed in charge of them and adjust further to what orc leaders are assigned to defend their fortifications. Effectively the fortresses become a part of the Nemesis system, which has expanded to include those under Talion's command to create emergent stories and drama.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War releases on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 August 22nd, 2017 in the US, August 25th in Europe.
