Get ready for a mutant invasion as original X-Men director Bryan Singer will helm the untitled X-Men TV pilot for Fox.

The X-Men: Days of Future Past director has signed up to helm the pilot episode which has been written by Burn Notice’s Matt Nix. Both men will also serve as executive producers along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

Yesterday, the show was announced which will focus on the parents of a mutant. With a hostile government in place, they will join an underground resistance to keep their family alive and together.

If the untitled series is picked up for a full series, it’ll join Legion as the second X-Men series to hit the small screen.
