Double Fine's Psychonauts 2 Funded With $3,829,024, Game Expected 'Fall 2018'
Double Fine Productions has done it again as their crowd-funding campaign for Psychonauts 2 has accumulated a whopping $3.8 million from backers and investors. The Fig campaign had a goal of $3.3 million so the independent studio is well in the green.
These pledges and investments only make up so much of Psychonauts 2's development budget as the rest comes from Double Fine's coffers and other sources. Now Tim Schafer and his people can start the long journey of bringing back the platforming action puzzler Psychonauts. Fans will have to wait a while as it isn't due until late 2018.
