There's a horde of enemies on the horizon with Uncharted 4: Survival, the co-op multiplayer mode that pits you and friends against waves of mercenaries.
50 waves across 10 maps ought to test your Uncharted 4 skills as you face off heavily armored Brutes, Snipers, Hunters, and other things looking to kill you. As time goes on and the waves build up the enemy will be getting better equipment.
Every 10 waves will result in an "intense boss battle" which includes the all-new Pirate Warlords. There are also Founders of Libertalia tracking you with Mystical attacks. Getting through to the final wave will require working together - if you're playing co-op - and securing objectives such as holding a certain area. Modifiers can interfere and make it,for example, so that only pistols, melee or headshots do damage to enemies. Objectives reward in-game cash to buy gear.
"Survival also features its own dedicated progression system, Relic Challenges, and loadouts. As you rank up, you’ll earn upgrades for your weapons, as well as new items, such as Survival-exclusive boosters. There are also vanity items that can only earned by playing Survival, but can be used to deck out your character in both Survival and Multiplayer."
Enemies will grow and adapt as you and your friends become stronger with multiple difficulty options available to tweak the challenge. Crushing Mode is unlocked if you complete Survival on Hard Mode and it will test your very sanity.
Uncharted 4: Survival will be playable next week at PlayStation Experience, which takes place December 3-4 in Anaheim, California.
