Evan Peters Returns for X-Men: Dark Phoenix
Signing up to appear in the best scene of another X-Men movie, Evan Peters will return as the lightning fast Quicksilver, for X-Men: Dark Phoenix.
The Hollywood Reporter also reveals that Canadian actor Lamar Johnson will be joining the cast, though his character is being kept a secret for now.
They’ll be joining the swelling ranks of regular X-faces James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult all returning alongside Apocalypse recruits Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Tye Sheridan and Kodi Smit-McPhee for the movie adaptation of one of the most famous X-Men storylines wherein Jean Grey’s (Turner) powers rise to dangerous levels, making her a threat to the X-Men and the world.
A clear fan favourite, Quicksilver doesn’t appear in the Dark Phoenix saga but who could say no to the best character in the previous two X-Men movies?
Simon Kinberg, who has been a producer and writer on many of the previous X-movies, is adding director to his credits for this one, with the film due out in November 2018.
