Elliott Lester to Direct Schwarzenegger in 478

Following on from shuffling domestic zombie drama, Maggie, Arnold Schwarzenegger is keeping things low key for 478. He’s been attached to the film for a while and now, it has a director.

Elliott Lester, who directed his fellow Expendable Jason Statham in Blitz, will helm the film, written by Enemy’s Javier Gullón and produced by Darren Aronofsky.

The film sees Arnold as a man who loses his wife and child in a plane crash (hence the numerical title). As it transpires, the tragedy was caused by an air traffic controller’s mistake. The controller is hounded and eventually placed into protective custody, but Schwarzenegger’s character can’t let go and decides to seek his own vengeance.

Although it might sound like an all guns blazing revenge flick, the film is said to have a more considered, sombre tone…so no Uzi’s.

Shooting is set to start in December in Ohio.
